Unlike many rubs designed for pork, Hardcore Carnivore Red is not particularly sweet. This allows cooks to customise their own levels of sweetness using honey/brown sugar in wraps, and finishing sauces.

Hardcore Carnivore Rubs are designed by Australian Jess Pryles, co-founder of the Australasian BBQ Alliance, who has spent years in Texas studying meat and perfecting the best way to cook meat to enhance flavour and appearance.
